The Planet

Ever since I started working with the student publications at Western Washington University, I had the goal of becoming a photo editor.
I spent time working a teach of Western’s three main publications and I enjoyed my time with The Front and with Klipsun, but I felt most at home with The Planet.
I started as a photographer for the publication and became the photo editor over fall of 2023.

Whatcom Water Worries
A new legal process in Whatcom County may have drastic effects on water use for large farms. Filing in court will be required to receive a water rights certificate from the Department of Ecology.

Though I had a little experience working for student publications before, I grew tremendously during my time at The Front.
I covered a wide variety of topics from the return of Bellingham's Pride Parade to what its like to climb Mount Baker. My work on these stories has shaped my journey as a visual journalist.
